During Thompson’s postgame media session with reporters, the Cavs forward was clearly irritated by a question about Curry’s incredible performance. Here’s how the exchange went down:

Choosing the word “helplessness” was probably what set Thompson off here. He wasn’t going to talk about Curry as though he was his older brother backing him down in the driveway. That makes sense because Thompson is a professional athlete who plays with a great deal of pride.

Thompson: “No. F—. No. We did a good job — I mean, I’m switching out on him, I’m guarding him, so I’m never helpless with no guy in the NBA. Bet. F—ed up.”

And to Thompson’s credit, he wasn’t the primary defender on any of Curry’s 3-pointers. The two-time MVP was just roasting anyone else wearing a Cavs uniform. (Apologies to Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr.)
