World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced Johnson’s death Wednesday on its website and said it was “saddened to learn” of the veteran wrestler’s death. Dwayne Johnson has yet to publicly comment on his father’s death. Rocky Johnson, born Wayde Douglas Bowles, began his wrestling career in the 1964 and competed extensively for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and WWE, then known as the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). The talented Hawaiian athlete died from a seizure while surfing off the coast of Costa Rica, The Inertia reports. According to the surfing news website, David lived with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition where people can have very rapid heartbeats, known as tachycardia. It affects one to three of every 1,000 people worldwide. According to John Hopkins Medicine, said the condition is not dangerous for most people. But it added: “The biggest risk is for sudden death from a heart attack, which tachycardia can cause....

The “Lineage of Greatness II” event will feature talent like Kenzie Morrison, Jose Luis Castillo Jr., Roberto Duran Jr., and Steve Cunningham Jr. Before the event, the weigh-ins take place on October 20 around 6 p.m. ET. All four of the young stars fighting at the event will make an appearance. Between the months of October 2018 and August 2019, the U.S. saw a total of 384,977 deportation proceedings filed, according to data from the Syracuse University’s Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), which obtains its data from the Department of Homeland Security through Freedom of Information Act requests. Of course, with data from the month of September still to come, that number is only expected to grow.
